Early literacy skills can have a direct impact on educational outcomes. These early literacy skills start at birth and are developed in many ways beside just reading a book. Our Hub has decided to focus our work on two main efforts, increasing regional understanding of how to develop early literacy skills by using Every Child Ready to Read, and providing opportunities for parents to improve their literacy and English proficiency.

The Blue Mountain Early Learning Hub is providing resources to programs that work with children from birth up to kindergarten. There are options for various types of programs from home visiting, early learning classrooms and family engagement activities.

  • Curriculum for training classroom staff
  • Classroom literacy kits
