OUR PURPOSE

The Blue Mountain Early Learning Hub was designed to ensure collaboration and coordination between all early learning and early childhood (prenatal to 8 yrs old) entities in the areas of health, safety, and education. The Blue Mountain Early Learning hub seeks to increase services to children considered at-risk in order to promote Kindergarten Readiness and overall child and family well-being.

Union, Umatilla, and Morrow counties account for approximately 7,300 square miles of northeast Oregon. Within that area, there are 23 communities, 18 school districts. Of the estimated 10,000 children within this region, 7,600 are considered at-risk. It is estimated that only 59% of those children at risk receive some kind of early childhood service.

The goal of Blue Mountain Early Learning Hub is to coordinate and increase services for the remaining 60% of those approximately 4,600 at-risk children.
